YOGA & BREATHWORK FOR CHILDREN

Children are naturally curious, imaginative, and full of energy. Yoga and breathwork give them a way to channel that whilst building calm and confidence. As a mum of two, I know firsthand how powerful and important these tools can be. I wish someone had shared them with me as a young child.

Let’s give the next generation simple ways to breathe, move, and be kind to their own minds.

WHY YOGA & BREATHWORK MATTER

Children sitting cross-legged on yoga mats, engaging in a group meditation or relaxation activity, in a brightly lit room with colorful decorations.

Through playful movement and gentle breathing, children learn to:

  • Listen to their bodies

  • Manage their feelings and regulate emotions

  • Build focus and concentration

  • Cultivate connection, kindness, and gratitude

These practices are not about perfect poses. They are a chance to discover strength, balance, calm and joy through movement, imagination, and breath.

HOW I WORK WITH CHILDREN

I’m a certified children’s yoga teacher, qualified to teach children aged 3–12. Sessions are creative, fun, and age-appropriate. I like to theme the classes to the current season, whilst marking annual celebrations.

In nurseries (ages 3–5), we explore yoga through songs, stories, and games. I bring lots of props to make the sessions multi-sensory and imaginative. We become flowers, animals, and superheroes along the way.

For primary school children, I weave mindfulness and movement into practices that help them relax, refocus, and feel more at ease both in and out of the classroom.

WHAT I OFFER

I offer a range of sessions designed to meet children exactly where they are, whether that’s in a busy nursery or a focused classroom. My goal is to integrate these life-changing tools into their natural environment through:

  • Primary school workshops

  • Weekly classes at after-school clubs

  • Nursery sessions for ages 3–5

If you’d love to bring yoga and breathwork to your child, school, or nursery, please get in touch. Together, we can help children discover powerful tools that will last a lifetime.
